Abstract:
The paper presents a critically based overview of didactic approaches and models that have been developing as a part of the education idea in 21st century. The discussion is focused on challenges provoked by information and telecommunication technology and its applications in the educational processes. The light is also shad upon social changes that influence the process of reform in education. A special attention is paid towards the role of the school librarian (or rather teacher-librarian) in the whole education process and the need to reccognise its competencies for activities taken in changeable environment. Furthermore, the need for cooperation between teachers and school librarians is stresses in order to highlight its value for the education.

U radu se donosi kritički osvrt na didaktičke pristupe i modele koji se razvijaju u sklopu ideje obrazovanja u 21. stoljeću. Problematiziraju se izazovi novih tehnologija i njihove primjene u nastavnim procesima te ukazuje na društvene promjene koje utječu na potrebu reformi obrazovnih sustava. Posebno mjesto u radu zauzima rasprava o ulozi školskog knjižničara u nastavi, odnosno potreba prepoznavanja njegovih kompetencija za djelovanje u promjenjivom okruženju. Ističe se potreba za suradnjom nastavnika i školskih knjižničara u cilju podizanja kvalitete obrazovnog procesa.
