Katalogizacijska pravila in kakovost bibliografskih podatkov

Cataloguing rules strongly influence the quality of bibliographic data, which is made obvious through the COBISS system, where data has to be transferred to the system’s data format. Nevertheless, the key role is still played by the cataloguer. The Slovenian cataloguing rules from 1947 were improved in 1967, while the handbooks PREKAT and ZNAČKA were published in 2001. The past few years have been dedicated to the preparation of international cataloguing principles. NUK and IZUM have also started to control the quality of bibliographic and authority records in COBIB.SI systematically.
