Zbiranje in katalogizacija virov z interneta

The widespread adoption of Internet, when looking at it as a novel information medium, imposes strenuous tasks on libraries. They have to deal with a wast quantity of resources - a whole universe and not only an ocean of information - thereby mastering a number of information technology novelties. Any hesitation on their part only adds to the problems in this area. Currently a series of projects are being conducted worldwide from which we could all learn. Because a different taxonomy is requiered with electronic resources, libraries should be adequately trained to acquire the ability to gather and select the World Wide Web resources as they can only partialy use the expirience gained through the development of traditional library material collections. Furthermore, needed are also extensive amendments to cataloguing rules and procedures.
