Back in the nineteen sixties, Božo Težak already did much for taking a clinical approach as one of the conditions required for professional functioning and performance of library and information education. The purpose of this paper is, on the one hand, to show that in developed countries the clinical approach has been cultivated and applied. On the other hand, its intention is to reaffirm this approach also locally, in the environment directly affected by Težak's work.
