Moralne avtorske pravice nimajo tržne vrednosti in so s stališča družbenega sistema, v katerem šteje le denar, nepomembne. Stališče do avtorske pravice je odvisno tudi od poslovnega modela, kot sta npr. model “dolgega repa” ali model “zastonj”.
Relating to the connection between information science and bibliography (and librarianship), the elements are given to compare the concepts of Répertoire Bibliographique Universel (RBU) and COBIB within the COBISS system. Different aspects of understanding the development of bibliographies and the author’s personal view of the development of bibliographies are presented. According to Paul Otlet’s idea, conceived at the end of the 19th century, RBU was to represent the universal bibliography of all books and other publications from all countries, from all times and from all subject areas, organised by subject and author. Catalogues should represent the first stage of RBU.
Through the development of information and communication technologies, articles in electronic form have emerged. The journal Slovenian Nursing Review (Obzornik zdravstvene nege) also gained another media for transferring information, and this article presents the results of a study, in which users’ online behaviour was observed and the journal’s website traffic was measured.
The first part of the article focuses on the semiotic perspective of information theory, the second part, however, is based on the mathematical model of epidemiology or on the notion that information spreads like an infectious disease. This opens up a broad field of information and communication ecology.
Information is part of the data-information-knowledge-wisdom (DIKW) “spectrum”. In optics, “spectrum” is a complete range of rainbow colours into which white light is separated when it passes through a glass prism. Based on conclusions different sciences have come to that relate to data, information, knowledge and understanding of meaning, as well as to memory, intelligence, consciousness and wisdom, a renewed theory of information is needed.
Library catalogues allow users searching of library materials in different ways. To achieve successful and efficient searching, bibliographic and authority records should be created according to cataloguing rules, besides perfect and accurate records are required. That is why, cataloguers are responsible for an adequate quality of records and the quality control should be regularly examined.
Dissemination proved to be a complex process that can take very diverse paths with questionable outcomes if not shaped correctly. And there are variety of views in research communities and the society of what the dissemination is. In such a situation it is natural to develop a more solid comprehension of the concept and, based on this, a model of the environment for the dissemination.
Hans Küng, a contemporary Swiss Catholic theologian (born in 1928), who because of his heretic position was in 1979 deprived even of the right to lecture at the Catholic University of Tubingen, is the creator of a new Global Ethic, Weltethos. According to him, Weltethos does not mean a new global religion, but rather a binding ethical system of coordinates.
The proposal of the two national strategies, higher education strategy and research and innovation strategy, includes for the next decade also ethical guidelines, which are commented upon in terms of the practice in this area in Slovenia and internationally.
